The Marriage, ink on paper, 52 cm x 73 cm, $4000

In the Book of Genesis, one reads that Eve was made from a rib removed from her husband, Adam. This piece uses the symbol of the ribs to represent the couple. The rib cages of the two are depicted side by side, suggesting that husband and wife are equal partners in marriage and there is no dominion of one over the other. The ribs continue beyond the confines of the piece suggesting that their marriage is eternal.
