Fuji Caldera, ink on paper, 15cm x 20cm, $1000
This piece focuses on the caldera and the inside of Fuji San, a volcano found near Tokyo, Japan. Mt. Fuji is still an active volcano, even though it may look peaceful. Indeed, Mt. Fuji is just as active inside as it is out. Additionally, the shape of the mountain in contrast to that of the caldera is intriguing. The contrasting shapes are what prompted the creation of the diptych.
