Eternity (on paper) ink on paper, 52 cm x 73 cm, $4000

The scarab beetle was considered holy to the ancient Egyptians. This bug represented eternity due do its peculiar habits. I wanted to use this symbol in conjunction with another symbol of the three running legs attributed to the Isle of Man as their national symbol. ‘Whichever way you throw it, it will stand’ is the islands motto. I believe the two symbols together express beautifully how we must live our lives- determined to always do well on into eternity.
